Detergents Regulation revision proposal
The European Commission has recently presented a revision proposal of the Detergents Regulation which will replace Reg. (EC) n. 648/2004 in order to simplify the rules applicable to detergents, reduce the regulatory burden for manufacturers and align the provisions with other European regulations.
Among the most notable changes:
- introduction of digital labeling (voluntary) and product passport
- introduction of standards and requirements for products containing microorganisms and detergents refills
- abolition of the obligation to provide an ingredient data sheet
